The Swem Music Library is hopping this month! Swing by for an evening of blues music or to watch the film “Sita Sings the Blues.”
On Friday, March 22 join the students of Music 363 as they turn the Music Library into an old fashioned blues juke joint. From 5-7 p.m. students will be performing traditional blues standards and playing back-up for audience members who want to join in! Light refreshments provided.
Next month William & Mary Theatre and Dance presents Sitayana, a production about the legendary life of Sita, princess of the earth. Get an introduction to Sita in "Sita Sings the Blues," a unique film combining animation and music to tell Sita's story. The screening will be held on Sunday, March 24 at 8 p.m. in the Music Library. Free admission and popcorn!
The Music Library is located in Ewell Hall. For more information, contact Kathleen DeLaurenti at 221-1074 or kmdelaurenti@wm.edu.
