W&M Libraries subscribes to hundreds of databases which you can search here by database name, subject or type. Finding the right database can help you search for highly relevant journal articles, books, documents and much more.

Additionally, we host several datasets for research and also provide subscriptions to popular newspapers like the Washington Post and Wall Street Journal.

The Journalytics database is a specialized journal search platform designed to help researchers and institutions discover new publications, assess journal quality, and make informed decisions about publishing, funding, and staffing. The Predatory Reports add-on offers a list of flagged journals that appear to engage in predatory practices. These predatory practices can include: unclear peer review processes, misleading metrics on the journals webpage, publication fees before submitting an article, and conflicting information throughout the journal, among others.

PrivCo is an online platform and database providing financial and business intelligence on private companies, covering their financials, funding rounds, mergers, and acquisitions. PrivCo currently has 900,000 US-based private companies on the platform, most earning at least $1M in annual revenue OR having at least $1M in venture capital funding. PrivCo is industry agnostic, covering all industries, and while there are tens of thousands of Venture Capital-backed companies on the platform, the vast majority of the database is made up of non VC/PE-backed private companies. This database delivers private-company financial and contact data on the 80% of US companies neglected by other platforms. USERS MUST CREATE AN ACCOUNT WITH THEIR WM EMAIL ON PRIVCO'S SITE TO USE THE DATABASE.

    This database is a trial which expires February 12, 2026. We appreciate your feedback.

    Consensus is an AI-powered academic search engine. It summarizes insights from the literature (with citations), ranks the top 20 papers for a search, and offers snapshots of individual studies. If a user enters a yes/no question, Consensus tags individual articles with yes, no, mixed, and possibly, and provides a Consensus Meter that visualizes the balance of supporting and contrasting evidence. USERS MUST SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT WITH THEIR INSTITUTIONAL EMAIL ADDRESS IN ORDER TO ACCESS TRIAL.
