VIVA Broadens Open Access for Virginia with a New Wiley Agreement in 2022
In its ongoing efforts to design innovative and sustainable approaches to library subscription models, VIVA is pleased to announce a new program in partnership with Wiley. The 2022-2024 VIVA Wiley agreement includes Open Access publishing funds for both hybrid and fully gold journals as well as journal subscriptions. This comprehensive approach allows researchers from any participating VIVA institution to publish Open Access articles using a central fund, while maintaining access to the full extent of Wiley journal holdings for the consortium. This new iteration of the VIVA/Wiley agreement begins in 2022, and all participating VIVA member institutions and affiliated researchers are included and may apply for funding.
