Library Ambassadors
Who are we?
W&M Libraries Student Ambassadors (LA) is an official W&M student organization that provides a student perspective to library administration and helps promote library services, resources, and events.
We welcome all students from all majors and class years! If you love our campus libraries and want to see them get better every year, join our group. This is a great way to share your ideas, suggestions and concerns with those in the library who make change happen!
Our executive committee for 2024-2025:
- President – Agavni Mehrabi ‘26
- Vice President – Elaine Ji '26
- Secretary – Elsa Hendrix '25
- Social Media – Hiba Aslam '27
What do we do?
We meet monthly to discuss and plan special events and library-related projects. We invite guest speakers from the library to our meetings to discuss library initiatives and share updates on projects.
Fall 2024 meeting schedule:
- Wednesday, Sept. 11; 5-6 PM, Ford Classroom, Swem Library ground floor
- Wednesday, Oct. 16; 5-6 PM, Ford Classroom, Swem Library ground floor

Music, Comedy, Poetry & More: Student Showcase
The Swem Patio is a great place to study and relax. But did you know recognized W&M student clubs/organizations can reserve the space for music performances, improv/comedy shows, poetry readings, and more? Bookings are available during library operating hours, except during reading and exam periods.
For more information, check out our user policies.
Tabling at Swem
Interested in tabling? All W&M recognized student clubs/organizations can table outside the library in front of the main entrance. Reach out to the Student Union & Engagement Office for scheduling!
